A lively place with a friendly atmosphere
Benalmádena is ideal for those who want a mix of vibrant city life, good infrastructure, and a welcoming environment. You’ll find a beautiful marina, plenty of cafés, restaurants, and bars, yet still enough quiet spots to relax. It’s a place where you can live actively and still feel at ease. There is Benalmádena Costa with its marina, nightlife, and restaurants; Benalmádena Pueblo with white streets and traditional charm; and between them, green residential areas.
Benalmádena has warm, dry summers and very mild winters. Thanks to gentle airflow from the mountains, the climate rarely feels oppressive, and there are plenty of sunny days.

From traditional Andalusian cuisine to modern fusion and high-quality international restaurants. Thanks to its diverse population, the culinary scene is rich and varied. Fresh fish, paella, and excellent tapas are a sure thing here.
Golf, sea, and sports
Benalmádena is a paradise for active living. Golfers have Torrequebrada right nearby — one of the oldest and most respected courses on the coast, with a varied layout, lush greenery, and excellent maintenance. There are several more courses in the Fuengirola and Mijas area. Water sports have a long tradition here: sailing school, diving, paddleboarding, catamarans, windsurfing. With the cable car to Monte Calamorro, you gain access to a whole network of mountain routes for hiking and trail running. Gyms, outdoor workout areas, tennis, padel — Benalmádena is one of the best-equipped sports towns in the region.

The Pueblo offers a romantic atmosphere with narrow streets, flowers, and viewpoints overlooking the entire Costa del Sol. Behind the town, several routes lead into the mountains, and thanks to the cable car, you can ride all the way up to Monte Calamorro to enjoy stunning panoramas. Culturally, the town is vibrant — festivals, concerts, and traditional celebrations take place throughout the year.
History hidden in a traditional village
Castillo Colomares is one of the most fascinating landmarks — an unusual monument dedicated to Christopher Columbus. You’ll also find remnants of old towers and traditional small churches. History is most alive in the Pueblo, which has kept the charm of an old white village with narrow streets, chapels, and views of the entire coastline. Historical details blend naturally with modern life.
